Question 5- How did I attract/address my audience
For my magazine I created a questionaire to ask my target
audience how they thought my techniquies and layout had been used and how well
it was.
1) What are the good parts of my magazine?
From my results I can see that the main things which people liked on my magazine
my front cover, the layout of all the pages, and the colours that have been
used. Some people also said that the images used are good aswell. By using the
dark colours and laying everything out around the route of the eye, my audience
has reconginised this and said that my colours and layout are good.
2) What do you not like about my magazine?
The answers of this question show me that people did not like the image on the double page, that there is too much text on my double page, and that some of the fonts aren't need changing. If i was to do my magazine again then I would listen to this feedback and redevelop the double page more as that is where most of the improvements are needed. I would also reconsider some of the fonts as it seems that some of the fonts I have used ado not look as good as I had hoped.
3) Do you think the fonts are conventional
Yes- 100%

This clearly shows that all of my fonts that I haved used throughout my magazine a conventional and look good on my magazine. This means that all of my fonts I have used which have been inspired by a rock magazine such as Kerrang! have worked and my audience has realised this and given me positive feedback.
4) Are the colours used conventional?
Yes- 100%
No- 0%
Yet again it is clear to see that people believe my colours that have ben used are coventional. This is good because I used my audience reseach into what they wanted and what is conventional in other rock magazines and developed this ideas into the colours I have used.
5) Are my images conventional?
Yes- 100%
No-0%
By getting some ideas from other magazines of my genre I could work out what sort of images I would need on my magazine, my audience have seen these images and noticed that they are similar to other magazines and that they are conventional.
6) On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being really good and 1 being rubbish, how good is my front cover?

5- 16.67%
Looking at these results I can see that my front cover has recieved some good feedback with the lowest score being 3 out of 5, this is good for my magazine because it has not been produced by a professional company and some people still agree that it is really good. This means that by following conventions my front cover has been rated postivley.
7) On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being really good and 1 being rubbish, how good is my contents?

3- 50%
4- 50%

According to these results my audience feels that my contents page is good, also the images, fonts and text used are good. This means that all my research and planning that I had done has allowed me to get a positive response. All the colours which i have used are conventional for the rock genre and I have interpreted this into my own magazine in my own way, and the image that I used went well after all my planning and finding the right props and person for it.
8) On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being really good and 1 being rubbish, how good is my double page?

3- 83.3%
4- 16.7%
5- 0%
These results are similar to the question before, this is good as it means that I have paid attentioned to every page in the same amount of detail allowing them to get an even result for every page. It also means that just like all the other pages the images, text and fonts used are conventional for a rock magazine.
9) How would you improve my magazine overall?
The main things which people have asked me to improve is the layout on the double page, use different images and to re-think the layout of the contents. If i was to make my magazine again I would listen to this feedback to make sure my magazine would be better in a second attempt.
